Steve previously served on various interdenominational local not for profit boards for over a decade and one international advisory board for several years. He has held various volunteer leadership positions including the position of treasurer and chairman of a private Classical Christian school, as well as an Administrative Elder and Chairman of a local church’s Elder Council. He is married to Amy and they have one daughter, Jordan, who is married to Christian, and two grandsons, Gideon and Elliot. Steve and Amy are avid long-distance motorcyclists who have been known to ride to places like South Dakota, Arizona, and Texas from the US east coast. Professionally, Steve is a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute and is a Professional Engineer, a former business owner, formerly a licensed building contractor, and is currently employed by Bay County, Florida where he leads the Building Safety Division in the role of Building Official.
