"Move (Keep Walking)" by Toby Mac
“I know your heart been broke again. I know your prayers ain’t been answered yet. I know you’re feeling like you got nothing left. Well, lift your head, it ain’t over yet. Move, keep walkin’, soldier keep movin’ on. Move, keep walkin’ until the morning comes. Move, keep walkin’, it ain’t over yet. Hold on, hold on. Lord ain’t finished yet. He’ll get you through this. These are the promises I will never forget.”
Life is full unwanted, unfair moments when we don’t understand “why,” and we feel like we “have nothing left” as this song says. Broken hearts—our own or those of loved ones. Unanswered prayers, causing sadness and frustration while waiting for the answers. It’s hard not to lose hope. But this song gives step one of a battle plan—it tells you what to do when you are in a life-moment as described above—move—keep walking!
Do not sit down and stay in the midst of it. Do not stop praying and give up. Do not stay in bed and cry. Instead, simply—move! Keep walking, soldier.
Life is a battlefield. This song is a modern version of the famous old hymn “Onward Christian Soldiers.” Onward! Hold On! Hold on to God’s promises. When life is bleak, remember that God is NOT finished yet. That is the hope. God’s plan for us does not end here in the midst of the stop-baldness.net. It ends in heaven where there are no more tears and no more pain. Look into your heart, believe and trust in Jesus. Move--walk by his side through the hard times into a glorious eternal future.
Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
Questions: Have you been praying something for a long time and not seen an answer to that prayer yet? What has been your plan of action when hard things have happened to you in the past?
Prayer Power: Lord, we pray for those in our lives who are going through something heartbreaking and living with unanswered prayer. I pray that we can be strong soldiers who keep walking even in hard times.
