Learning that HOPE in JESUS was to believe in a CERTAIN HOPE was a game changer for me. Hope in Jesus is not wishy-washy. It is not a maybe kind of hope; it is a concrete, real, and certain hope in Christ. God is a promise keeper and my HOPE in His Son, Jesus Christ, is not a vague maybe kind of promise but a sure and certain guarantee that what He says He will do. My hope is guaranteed by the blood of the Lamb. I can count on it in a way that has no equal in my life experience on this earth.
The Hope of Christ is sure. The Hope of Christ is certain. The Hope of Christ is guaranteed. The Hope of Christ is assured by the Father. The Hope of Christ is sealed by His Spirit. The Hope of Christ was purchased by Jesus’ blood. The Hope of Christ is my hope and there is no other substitute for it.
He is my Hope. When the seasons change, he is my Hope. When the news is bad, He is my Hope. When the days feel long, He is my Hope. When I can't figure out the why to a situation, I Hope in Him. No matter the situation or circumstance, He is my Hope.
I encourage you to focus on hope this summer. It will strengthen you spiritually! Your schedule may be crazy, with kids out of school and vacations to plan, but hope can be your cornerstone. Be sure you wake up with hope each day—wake up with Jesus on your mind, and he will guide you through each day of summer, one hope-filled day at a time.
“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ…” Titus 2: 11-13 (ESV)
