The ministry of Body & Soul® Fitness began in 1981. This year, we celebrate 43 years of sharing our faith through fitness classes that meet all around the world. This ministry is standing the test of time because our Instructors have stepped out in faith to pursue the calling God has placed on their lives. Our Instructors have been faithful to use their gifts to establish and grow classes – a process that can be “uphill” at times. Here at Body & Soul® we often say that the best things and the most worthwhile opportunities take great effort and commitment, and can therefore be described as being uphill. Not only do we have live in-person classes around the world, we also celebrate the 4-year anniversary of FitTV™, our On Demand exercise platform, this year. As a group fitness ministry that has survived a global pandemic, we have so much to be grateful for. By God’s generosity to us, we get to continue meeting our students wherever they are on their spiritual and physical journey, whether we are leading classes in person, virtually, or promoting Body & Soul® FitTV™. No matter where you live or what platform you use, you are not alone because our Instructors are engaged in this calling together. Just like we read in various translations of Ecclesiastes 4:12, a single person can be overpowered, attacked, and defeated, but two and three people can defend themselves. They can stand back-to-back and conquer their enemy. We stand firm in our faith as it says in 1 Corinthians 16:13, and part of standing firm is standing together. Be encouraged today that you are not alone. You have friends all around you to strengthen, co-defend, and join you on this journey of faith and fitness.
