Throwing Out The Rules For The Summer!

Now that Memorial Day is behind us, signaling the official start of summer, it’s time to slow down, enjoy the new season, and wear white. Wait. Is that still a rule in our independent-thinking fashion society? Regardless of your fashion convictions, summer is the time to consider your seasonal workout plans, whether or not you’re wearing white slacks and shoes. Summer is no time to take a break when it comes to your exercise regimen.

For me, I love summer for many reasons: bright and sunny warm days, porch swings, tomato pie, long days, family time, fresh fruits and vegetables, freckles, large and colorful beach towels, fewer rules, and the overall change of pace. As a teenager, I failed to embrace all that summer had to offer because I was too busy complaining that I missed my friends and that I was bored (which got me a longer chore list from my mother, who was happy to have cheap live-in labor for the summer).

At Body & Soul Fitness, we’re thinking some of the same things. You see, this summer we’re changing the pace and breaking free from the rules and offering classes all around the country that will include portions of our multiple programs all in a single class. In other words, we are embracing the season and mixing up our programming with our “Super Summer Sampler” classes.

If you haven’t tried Body & Soul, or if it’s been awhile, now’s the time. If you’re a current student, this is your sign that you mustn’t take the summer off. You are going to have the opportunity to experience a variety of programming within a single class. For example, you might have weight lifting, cardio dance moves, and high-energy tabata boot camp exercises all in one awesome workout. And you know what else? Every summer class you experience may look different, so there’s going to be no boredom this summer – and our instructors don’t hand out chore lists anyway!

So, go ahead and schedule your laid-back summer around your workouts with Body & Soul! We’ll see you in a summer class filled with high energy cardio and strength. White shoes optional.
