Keep Moving This Summer

We’ve made it to July, and summer is officially here! Just because your schedule may be a bit more relaxed than usual, that doesn’t mean you should abandon your fitness goals. If you’re not already enrolled in a Body & Soul class this summer, check to see where Body & Soul is being offered near you.

If your schedule doesn’t allow for a class at this time or if you’re looking for some additional workout ideas that you can do on your own, try these:

Amy Stafford, President of Body & Soul, has a short two-minute video to inspire you to keep moving this summer. This SPARK routine is easy to remember, especially at the 4th of July! Just think Squats, Push Ups, Abdominal Plank, Russian Twist, and Kickboxing Kicks. Best of all, these exercises don’t require equipment so you can do them wherever you are.

4 C.O.O.L. Exercises for Summer

For those days when it’s hot outside or a Body & Soul class isn’t being offered, you can do these four exercises in the comfort of your air-conditioned living room. Again, Amy keeps it easy-to-remember: Cross Mountain Climbers, Oblique Crunches, Out-and-In Squats, and Lunges.

Take It Outside

If the weather isn’t too hot, take your workout to the great outdoors! Be sure to drink lots of water as you workout. Check out this well-rounded workout that uses whatever props are available in your surroundings. Use it as inspiration and adapt it to your surroundings.
