I believe that God is able to do more than I can ask or imagine. I believe that He is unstoppable. And I believe that His power is at work within his people, including me. But do I always act this way? Do I operate in faith that demonstrates my belief in an unstoppable, all-powerful, and completely faithful God? I wish I could say yes, but my mother taught me to never tell a lie. Don’t get me wrong. I sometimes act in such a way that shows my belief and the identity I have because of Jesus Christ, but there are times when I pay too much attention to this world and instead, change my focus from my unstoppable God and let it rest on my problems, worries, and often uncontrollable circumstances. I trust I’m not alone in this. I think many of us – even the ones of us who love Ephesians 3:20 – struggle at times to believe that He “who is able to do more than we can ask or imagine according to the power that is at work within us,” is referring to us and our situation.
Take my current circumstance: I’m traveling for Body & Soul Fitness leading training workshops for instructors. Our focus is UNSTOPPABLE. As we prepare to share this theme with students all around the US this spring, we’re digging into God’s faithful character qualities, His unstoppable love for us, His unstoppable pursuit of us, His unstoppable power that’s at work within us, and our reasonable response of unstoppable faith. As I travel and interact with fitness instructors from different parts of the country, God is showing up in amazing ways and knocking my socks off with His blessing and His provision! You see, I asked Him to go before me into these workshops and to make His presence known clearly and powerfully – and He has done more than I asked and more than I thought to even imagine! He assembled instructors from long distances so we could fellowship together in person rather than communicating digitally (gotta love good old-fashioned face to face fellowship!). He encouraged each of us in different yet very powerful ways – to press on in our pursuit of sharing faith through fitness. He enabled us to overcome obstacles of over-filled schedules and the never-ending home logistics lists to be present. He even supplied us with more than enough energy to train for hours at a time, and still left us overflowing with excitement! You’d think we’d be tired, but no. God really does do more than we ask or imagine. God is able! I know, because He enabled me to arrive back home after multiple training workshops with more energy than I had when I left.
Join us in a Body & Soul Fitness class this spring, and experience the unstoppable love, pursuit and power of God. Ask Him to give you unstoppable faith. Don’t let anything stop you. Let’s operate in faith that shows that we believe in a God who is UNSTOPPABLE!
