Sandy Cove partnered with First Place 4 Health and Body & Soul Fitness offers three fun days filled with exercise sessions paired with Bible based teaching.

The exercise components include cardio, strength training and flexibility training – taught with YOU in mind by Certified Fitness Trainers.

All fitness levels welcome. Everything from Dance Blast (you love Zumba, right? This is everything you love about it done to great Christian music!) to Strength training to Chair Fitness will be offered. We have something for every ‘body’!

The teaching includes Biblical wellness that enables individuals to achieve balance in spirit, soul, mind and body based on giving Christ first place.  Learn how to sustain your wellness motivation.

Amy Stafford, President of Body & Soul Ministries

Amy Stafford is the President of Body & Soul Fitness. She is a Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, ACE (American Council on Exercise) Faculty member, wife of Steven, and mom to Jordan.

Teri Moscatelli, Director of Operations, Body & Soul Ministries

Teri Moscatelli is the Director of Operations for Body & Soul Fitness. She contributes to the Choreography for the Cardio/Strength & Flexibility programs, especially focusing on Pilates.  She is a certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, ACE (American Council on Exericse), wife of Steve, and mom of three daughters.Vicki Heath, National Director First Place 4 Health and Certified Fitness Pro
Vicki is the First Place 4 Health National Director and is an A.C.E. Certified Fitness Professional and joined the First Place 4 Health staff in 2006. She has been involved in First Place 4 Health for many years and has led both adult and teen groups at her church. Vicki works closely with all First Place 4 Health Networking Leaders as they network together to get new groups started in every state. Vicki is also a Body & Soul Instructor and is on two First Place Aerobic DVDs. Vicki is author of Don’t Quit Get Fit.

Carole Lewis, Speaker & Author
Carole served as the national director of First Place 4 Health from 1987-2013. Carole is a popular speaker and author of 15 books. She leads conferences, Christian spas, workshops and seminars with an emphasis on personal and spiritual balance, fitness, encouragement and temperament analysis. Her audiences know her as warm, transparent, honest and humorous.  Carole became a widow in June 2014; she has two adult children and one deceased, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Water Aerobics with Sue Sabo
Come get both physically and spiritually awakened for the day! Water Aerobics is a 45 minute in-water workout that, from warm up to cool down, exercises your body while the uplifting praise music awakens your soul to worship the Lord. Guests rave about water aerobics with Sue!!

Early Bird Boot Camp Interval Training
An interval workout that combines sports drills, cardiovascular, resistance, core and balance training that is physically challenging as well as emotionally & spiritually uplifting.

Chair Massages available throughout the weekend. A portable chair designed for comfort and support is used as a massage therapist administers a 15-minute stress-relieving massage designed to enhance circulation, reduce muscle tension and leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. Massage is administered while fully clothed.

Sports Pool & Hot Tub
Open at scheduled hours throughout the weekend. Remember your one-piece modest swimsuits.

Does this blog title excite you or bring you anxiety? Do the limitless possibilities in your life cause you to begin making a list of all the many choices you get to make today, or remind you that you’ve never been a strong decision-maker and you’d rather not have to choose? Well, possibilities require choices, and choices either get us excited or cause us anxiety. Vanilla or chocolate. Tennis shoes or cowboy boots. Read the book or watch the movie. So many choices in the world of food, apparel, and hobbies. We even have choices to make when it comes to our pursuit of fitness. Bike or hike. Swim or run. Group fitness or personal training. But with each pair of choices you just read, you likely had a decision come to your mind – a choice. We’re going to call that decision your “favorite” between the two. Here are my favorites: chocolate (be honest – there’s no real choice there!), tennis shoes, read the book, bike (that’s a tough one), swim, group fitness (that’s an easy one).

When it comes to the class programs of Body & Soul, however, I cannot begin to pick my favorite, because each one is challenging and full of innovative exercise plans that keep me coming back for more! I love lifting weights to great contemporary Christian music during Power Strength, and I love getting my heart rate up during cardio intervals in Boot Camp. This morning I had the privilege of teaching a Cardio/Strength class (you can check out that program by watching the video below). This class is sure to challenge your heart and your muscles.

Whether or not you find your single favorite fitness class, I’m certain that you will find a class that you love in Body & Soul. So don’t worry about picking a favorite, just exercise your decision-making skills and start today.
